LCS Facade 16x9[1]Meet the Argyle Business Association's Business Spotlight for the month of April - Liberty Christian School. Get to know more about the local private school in the Q&A below!

How long has Liberty Christian been in Argyle?

Liberty Christian School moved from Denton to Argyle in 2005.

Why did Liberty Christian choose to open in Argyle?

The location of Argyle serves our community well as many families can easily travel from surrounding areas allowing them access to a private Christian education. The land for our current building was generously donated allowing for the growth of our campus. Previously located in Denton, we were growing out of our space that consisted of multiple buildings. We now enjoy a 93-acre campus that educates 1,100 students from Preschool to Upper School. In 2016, we opened our new two-story Upper School wing allowing our Middle School students to move into the previously used space. Our campus also allows us to host many athletic events at our facilities that includes multiple gyms, a stadium and track, and the Integrity Park field complex.

How does Liberty Christian contribute to economic development in Argyle?

With the influx of many families to our state and the DFW area, Liberty Christian School offers an additional education option for families seeking a private Christian education that focuses on a Biblical worldview. These families often build or purchase homes in the beautiful development landscapes that Argyle offers and become involved residents. In addition, Liberty is a commuter school and many of these families frequent the businesses located in Argyle. We value the partnership we have with the town of Argyle and our share in the supportive community that exists here.

What is an interesting fact about Liberty Christian?

Liberty Christian School was founded in 1983 and looks forward to celebrating its 40th anniversary in the 2023-2024 school year. Liberty Christian School competes in academic, athletic, and fine arts contests through the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) District 6A and has won the best overall private school in Texas 12 times by TAPPS, including 11 of the last 17 years.

Magnolia Realty

magnoliaThis month's Business Spotlight is Magnolia Realty! Get to know more about local real estate in the Q&A we had with Broker Associate, Stephanie Wilson!

How long has your business been in Argyle?

I began my career in real estate in 2012. During that 10 years I have been blessed to be able to do the majority of my business right here in Argyle. In March 2017 I helped to open the Magnolia Realty office in Argyle.

Why did you open your business in Argyle?

We chose to open a Magnolia Realty in Argyle in part because that is where many of us had chosen to live and raise our children. We love this town and these are the families we want to serve. We also knew that Argyle was poised for a lot of growth in the coming years.

What is your favorite part of living and/or working in Argyle?

When I am able to assist families with their move to Argyle, and then help them get plugged in to different programs in the community, see them at the Friday night football game, run into them at Kimzey’s – it is by far my favorite thing! I have been known to get teary-eyed at big functions like parent orientation at the beginning of the school year because I look around the room and see so many families that I had the honor of being able to help them find “home.” And now I get to see them on the other side, thriving in their new town, making friends, serving in the PTA, playing sports. I feel like I have the best job in the world.

What is one interesting fact about your business?

Over 4 years ago I started a Facebook page called The Argyle Insider that has grown to have over 3,500 followers in the local area. Every week I do a Real Estate Market Update for homes located in Argyle ISD to keep residents informed about what home values are doing in the area. I also do a video interview segment with local business owners, pastors, non-profit leaders, and more called “What’s the Deal Wednesday.” It has been so rewarding to help bring free exposure to local businesses while also being able to help market and gain more exposure for my local real estate listings.

Seeden Photography

This month's Business Spotlight is Seeden Photography! Learn more about the husband-and-wife owned Argyle business in the Q&A we had with them.

How long has your business been in Argyle?
We just opened our photography studio in late October in Settler's Center across from Point Bank. We plan to have our official grand opening in Spring.

Why did you choose to open your doors in Argyle?
When we moved here last year, we quickly fell in love with Argyle. The community is filled with fantastic people, and we love the small-town feel.  The community's quality leadership was also a deciding factor for us. We looked at five surrounding towns, and we kept coming back to the idea of centering right here in Argyle. It's a perfect location and perfect community for us to build our photography business.

What is your favorite part of living and/or working in Argyle?
Argyle is a slice of heaven. It is a beautiful respite of a town that takes away the stresses of large-city life.  The ranches, the beautiful tree canopy, the cows (Lynn's favorite), and the scenic beauty is second to none.  If we can add a second favorite part: It is the people here. The people are wonderful in Argyle.

What is one interesting fact about your business?

Seeden Photography is owned by a husband-wife team that have worked together for years, and this is their second studio. Lynn herself is an international award-winning master photographer, and she teaches photography as well. Lynn placed No. 10 in the world in September in a prestigious international portraiture competition, and she is pushing herself to reach the level of "fellow photographer."
