The mission of the Argyle Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) is to “Promote and develop an economic foundation to diversify the tax base consistent with Argyle’s rural, suburban character.”  We invite you and your business to join us in our expanding community. 

The AEDC is committed to:

• Recruiting and retaining commercial and residential development consistent with the city's Comprehensive Plan

• Supporting infrastructure improvements directly related to economic development

• Pursuing regional alliances on common development and supporting research and data sharing

Argyle is strategically located within Denton County, the third fastest growing county in the United States.  The City of Argyle provides its residents with a small-town atmosphere and a central location within Denton County.  Argyle's location within the Metrocrest (Dallas, Fort Worth, Denton) allows Argyle's residents easy access to business centers, medical facilities, shopping, entertainment, cultural activities, and professional sporting events.

Argyle is located on Interstate 35W approximately 6 miles south of Denton. In addition, FM 407 and Highway 377 both intersect in Argyle.  The Union Pacific Railway also passes through the City of Argyle with DFW and Alliance Airport just a short distance away (approximately 20 min drive).
