Harrison Wicks Graduates - Metroport Leadership Class 23-24Congratulations to Argyle's Principal Town Planner, Harrison Wicks, for graduating from The 2024 Leadership Program of the Metroport Chamber. Though many apply, only a few are accepted into the program which aims to connect area municipalities' staff. Participants gain a better understanding of the issues and opportunities facing our region. Through monthly meetings around North Texas and Austin, participants develop key professional contacts with community leaders and decision makers. Congratulations, Harrison! For the 24-25 Leadership Program, Argyle's Director of Communications & Marketing, Jessica Sommer, has been accepted. The program kicks off in August. Good luck, Jessica!

Argyle Comprehensive Plan PostedThe approved Argyle Comprehensive Plan is now available for the public. The plan was finalized on June 17, 2024. This has been a challenging project and the Town celebrates the adoption of this updated document that better reflects the vision and sentiments of the Town. - Skyline Drive had a sink hole forming... staff made road repairs to cure it.
- Town Hall, Hickory Hill Road, C. Taylor & Justin Road were cleared of storm debris.
- Crawford Road gets a facelift! Pedestrian flashing lights on the north side of the road have been repaired. A new pedestrian sign with flashing lights will be installed on the south side of Crawford Road soon.

Sad news to report - the Old Lift Station near Unity Park was the victim of a hit and run incident in June. Luckily, the lift station was not operational. Should you see a car driving around Argyle covered in metal fencing, you might be seeing the culprit.

in other Public Works news....Waterbrook's Lift Station 4 received a new backup pump last month. Good news - the BCAC has completed the scheduled annual CCTV and sewer line cleaning. Inspection volume remained steady in Argyle with Larry Briones completing 47 during June.

- Officers performed 426 traffic stops and responded to 383 calls for service or requests for close patrol between June 1-27
- Officers Trey Humphries and Joshua Phenix graduated from the police academy and began serving Argyle citizens (pictured below)
- Officers joined members of Northlake PD, Argyle ISD PD, Justin PD, and Denton County ESD1 to conduct active shooter training through ALERRT
- Several of our officers assisted the Denton County Sheriff’s Office during a prostitution sting operation that resulted in 23 arrests
