Tree Rebate Program Underway

Argyle's annual tree rebate program offers tree planting incentives to residents, businesses and neighborhoods that commit to helping increase the community's tree canopy. Property owners may purchase up to five qualifying 5 to 15-gallon sized trees or two, 30-gallon sized trees. Taxes/delivery are counted toward the total cost of the tree. Complete program guidelines and an online application are available on the Town of Argyle website.

Arbor Day Event - Nov. 4

The Town of Argyle, a certified Tree City USA, will celebrate Arbor Day with activities on Saturday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Argyle Town Hall. 

Argyle residents can register online to select a drive through time and a free tree. Local certified arborists TreeNewal and representatives from Keep Argyle Beautiful will join Mayor Rick Bradford for coffee, donuts and free tree distribution. Representatives from TreeNewal will also assist with planting best practices and be available to answer questions. The event will have a drive-through option for residents who just want to pick up trees. 

PACE Meeting - Nov. 6

You are invited to an upcoming Program for Argyle Community Engagement (PACE) meeting on Monday, November 6 at 5:30 p.m. in the Argyle Town Hall Community Room.

Meet the developer of a proposed 72-acre single-family residential development on the west side of FM 1830, between FM 407 and Knight St. The concept plan has 49 lots with common open space and a water feature. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about this development. 

Calling all Argyle Seniors! Please join us each month for lunch and bingo. Thursday, Nov. 9, 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Argyle Town Hall 308 Denton St.

Senior BINGO & Lunch

All Argyle seniors are welcome to join us on Thursday, Nov. 9 for a free lunch and bingo at Argyle Town Hall. The luncheons begin at 11 a.m. and the meals are provided by the Town of Argyle. 

Honoring all who served Veterans Day Argyle Town offices will be closed on Friday, November 10.

Holiday Closure

Argyle Town Hall and other non-emergency offices will be closed Friday, November 10 in observance of Veterans Day. Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services will remain in operation. 

Veterans Thanksgiving Dinner

You are invited to join the Argyle Lions Club for a Veteran’s Thanksgiving Dinner on Tuesday, November 14 from 6-8 p.m. at Argyle Town Hall. Reservations can be made by calling 940-488-9749. Please include your name, branch of service and names of guests. The Lions Club is requesting pictures of Veterans be sent to Deborah Cottle at dcottle@temporah.com. The dinner is limited to the first 50 reservations. 

Anyone wishing to help with the food for the Veterans Dinner may contact the Argyle Lions Club at 940-488-9749.

Argyle Lions Club Cookie Crawl

On Saturday, November 18 between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., cookie crawlers will visit participating local businesses and will be rewarded with cookies while supporting local nonprofits. Visit the Lions Club Facebook page to learn more and buy your tickets today. 

Developer's Roundtable held in September

The Town held the first ever developer’s roundtable on September 28. The event brought together several key players from the Argyle development community. Topics of discussion included improvements in the Town development process and communication along with ideas and suggestions for the future.
